Well, I kinda remembered the trivial solution.
I wanted dynamic profiling of expenses, for example. Like profiling Year Summs on Linear driver, 4 4 5 or smth like that. And this choice should be done by user "on flight", in the application.

Using a virtual dimension allows doing the same thing in Contributor. You just need to add the dlist formatted element (in months this time), put the data there, and use it as a virtual dimension in look-up link. So +1 link, and +1 dlist element solves the problem. See the next scheme.
