Finished WP 2.1 rollout

It was rather hard, lead to two days of downtime and unexpected errors, yet it seems okay now (only firestats still not working). Recategorized some stuff, put Contents as a separate page, got future post plans.

Blog maintenance

I’ll try to roll out WordPress 2.1 during this weekend. Maybe it’ll give me nested categories. Expect downtime.I’d also try to reorganize things a bit (maybe get EP cookbook contents page back for better orientation), recategorize some posts, etc…

Moving to ykud.com

I needed ftp for backups and decided to switch to ykud.com. Thanks Yahoo for hosting.

Feed reading

Switched to Google Reader from GreatNews. Learning curve of 5 keys was easy enough (that’s not emacs), and outcome is really awesome. Keyboard browsing is great. Strange to hear that from Cognos guy, ain’t it? Cognos is mouse-everywhere, so I rest while reading feeds.

Blogroll

I start adding blogroll. I’m trying to keep up with 100+ feeds, some of which I just look through for interesting (like Gentoo Dev’s and E-learning ones) and some I mark as important ones. Second category will appear in blogroll.
